Weekly Announcements
Weekly Announcements
Here are the announcements from this Sunday's bulletin:

  • Elders of the month for July will be the Class of 2019. They will be in charge of opening and closing the church on Sundays.
  • Please help us keep the prayer chain current and correct, especially the military section. Updates are appreciated.
  • Please help us keep our facility secure. Make sure all doors are locked, lights are off, and thermostats are set to a cool 80 degrees when you leave.
  • As we are traveling this summer, let’s all be proactive in supporting our ministries and missions of our church. We had to replace one A/C unit and do major repairs to two others this month.
  • We continue summer hours at the church office. We are open 4 days per week (Monday through Thursday) during the summer months.
  • Our youth (Savannah Lacy, Johnessa Evans, Hayden Jackson, Audrey Gonzalez, Garrett Huckaby, Karrisa Raines, Maddie Ripley, Tanner Booe, Charis Miles, Jeremy Miles, and Jason Woosley) are at Synod Youth Workshop in Tulsa Oklahoma, and Youth Triennium at Purdue University. Keep them in your prayers. Thank to those who contributed to their trip & travel.
  • This is the time of year when people move. Please take the time to invite new coworkers, neighbors, attendees at social functions or service clubs to come and be the church with us at 2nd and Oklahoma. Then, invite them to lunch afterwards. Most people make the decision to attend church and choose a congregation within 6 to 8 weeks of their move.
  • Women’s Sip and Dip is Thursday, July 25th, at 6:30 PM at the home of SuSu Dyess. It’s a wonderful time of fellowship, food, and swimming! If you are able to attend, please bring a dip or snack to share.

Homebound Outreach   Our late worship service is always broadcast live on KFST 860 AM each Sunday morning beginning at 11:00 AM. We would also be honored to bring our homebound members the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. Call the church office to make arrangements.

Cub Scouts   Cub Scout Pack 154 is sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church.   The Cub Scout program is for boys 7-10 years of age.   Any boy wishing to join Cub Scouts can contact Denise Warren at (915) 637-2387 or Genevieve Melendez at (432) 290-5472 for further information.
