Weekly Announcements
Weekly Announcements
Here are the announcements from this Sunday's bulletin:

  • Elders of the month for October will be the Class of 2019. They will be in charge of opening and closing the church on Sundays.
  • Please help us keep the prayer chain current and correct, especially the military section. Updates are appreciated.
  • Please help us keep our facility secure. Make sure all doors are locked, lights are off, and thermostats are set to a cool 80 degrees when you leave.
  • The needs of the food pantry are great. Robert needs help stocking food and possibly another freezer. We also need help with food distribution as Robert has had eye surgery. Donald Bretz is filling in while he is out. If you are able to help in any way please let Robert or Donald know.
  • 3:16 is going great!! Spread the word about this awesome weekly after school program for Kindergarten through 3rd Grade. Volunteers are always needed!
  • First Presbyterian Church Financial Peace University students are continuing their journeys to change lives and access peace by learning how to manage money in God’s ways.
In the fourth week’s lesson, students received direction on retirement saving, college saving, paying off home mortgages, and building wealth & giving. They took the time to dream what a life with financial peace and the opportunity to generously give could look like.
A key Bible verse for the fourth lesson was Proverbs 21:5 (NLT),”Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.”
Please continue to pray for God to bless First Presbyterian’s Financial Peace University class with wisdom, patience, and courage!
  • Youth Group continues to meet Wednesdays at 7:00 PM in Fellowship Hall.
  • Choir meets Wednesdays at 7:00 PM in the Choir Room.
  • Our 2nd Sunday Potluck follows 11:00 AM worship in Fellowship Hall on Sunday, October 13th. There will be plenty of food. Please stay if you can!
  • Mark your calendars now for the Harvest Luncheon & Bake Sale Sunday, November 10th.
  • If you saw a glass jar with a lid in the Church kitchen please see Angie. She is missing hers.

Homebound Outreach   Our late worship service is always broadcast live on KFST 860 AM each Sunday morning beginning at 11:00 AM. We would also be honored to bring our homebound members the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. Call the church office to make arrangements.
