Weekly AnnouncementsWeekly Announcements   Here are the announcements from this Sunday's bulletin:

  • We are planning a men’s Bible study on Wednesdays at 5:30 PM. For more information, ask Dr. Jim or Ken Ripley.
  • Parents and Grandparents:  please prayerfully consider keeping your school age children in worship.
  • Youth Group is going to make the basement their “place”. If anyone has any old couches, chairs, pool table, fuse ball, TV, etc. that they would like to donate; please contact Michele.
  • Our annual Back to school picnic was a huge success!! Thanks to all who helped in any way. A special thank you to Jimmy Stephens, Robert Pena, Billy Jackson, Paul Golliher, Chris Sturdevant, Bob Hayter, and Bentley King for cooking the burgers. The Presbyterian Women for the ice cream and trimmings, and as always John Meli for the drinks.
  • Sunday School for all ages began on September10th. Please prayerfully consider bringing your children and grandchildren each week. Classes include Pre-School, Elementary, middle & senior high, and 2 adult classes. Volunteer teachers are still needed. If you would like to help please call the office at 336-3346.
  • Can you believe how many things are “happening” at the church: Cherubs’ Day, 3:16, and Pizza Thursday. Just to name a few. Please pray for all our programs and for new ways we can serve as well!
  • Dr. Jim brought the message at the 9/11 Ecumenical Peace Service. It was sponsored and was held at St. Agnes Catholic Church.

Homebound Outreach  Our late worship service is always broadcast live on KFST 860 AM each Sunday morning beginning at 11:00 AM. We would also be honored to bring our homebound members the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. Call the church office to make arrangements.

Cub Scouts   Cub Scout Pack 154 is sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church.   The Cub Scout program is for boys 7-10 years of age.   Any boy wishing to join Cub Scouts can contact Valerie Waters, Cubmaster, at (432) 336-3937 for further information.
